Executive health coaching in Vancouver: how it works

By Dai Manuel · Updated October 5, 2026

How executive health coaching with Dai works in Vancouver: in person or online, who it suits and what the first conversation looks like.

Vancouver makes it easy to look healthy and hard to stay that way while building a company. Executive health coaching is for the leader who knows the difference.

Who it suits

Founders and executives carrying a lot: the company, the team, the numbers. Usually high performers whose health has quietly become the thing that gives. If that sounds familiar, read Burnout in Vancouver founders.

How it works

Dai works one to one with a small number of clients. In Vancouver that can be in person, training together and stepping out of the office. Leaders elsewhere in Canada work with him online. Both are available; the right fit depends on your needs and consistency. See In-person or online executive coaching.

The work covers training, recovery, sleep, food and the habits around pressure. It is practical and built around a real calendar, not an ideal one.

Who you are working with

Dai has spent nearly thirty years coaching, operating and teaching, including time as a COO. He co-owns CrossFit BC with his wife Christie, so the advice comes from someone still running a business and still training.

The first conversation

It starts with what is going on and what you want to change. Pricing is shared once the fit is clear.

Support and limits

Coaching and small habits are not substitutes for medical care or mental health treatment. If persistent anxiety, low mood or sleep problems are affecting daily life, speak with a qualified health professional.

Put it into practice

Prepare for a fit conversation

  1. Name the pressure that is affecting your health now.
  2. Describe one change you want to notice in your working week.
  3. Decide whether meeting in Vancouver or online suits your calendar.
  4. Ask about scope, confidentiality and expectations before committing.
