Privacy policy

What we collect through this site, why, where it goes, and how to have it deleted.

Who we are

DaiManuel.com is run by MERGE Fitness, a company registered in British Columbia, Canada, at 278 East 1st Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5T 1A6. Privacy contact: daimanuel@daimanuel.com. MERGE Fitness decides what is collected and why, and answers for it.

The laws that apply

We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's PIPEDA where applicable. You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can also complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

What we collect

When you contact us, ask for a speaking quote or apply for coaching: your name, email, phone number if you choose to include it, your organisation and role, event details such as date, location, audience and format, and anything you write in the message boxes. We do not ask for a budget. Coaching applications may include things you choose to tell us about your health, work and stress.

When you request a speaking date: your contact and event details, including the requested date. A tentative hold containing those details is added to Dai's Google Calendar.

When you use the sleep quiz or Find your fit: your answers. Sleep quiz answers stay in the current page's memory in your browser. They are not sent to us or saved, and disappear when you reload or leave the page. Find your fit sends your goals and visitor type through Lovable AI to OpenAI to generate a suggestion. The site does not save those answers or the suggestion unless you choose to send the brief. Nothing reaches Dai unless you choose to send it. Sending the brief saves your original goals, visitor type, suggested service, edited brief, name and email as an enquiry, and emails them to Dai.

When you use the Team Tank Tracker: your team name and membership, check-in date, hours slept, sleep quality, mood and energy score, and whether you completed a ritual. Mood and sleep can be sensitive, so you choose what to log and signing in is your consent to us storing it. Individual check-ins are private to your account in the tracker. Team members see averages only on days with at least three check-ins.

When you become a coaching client: in the client area you can fill in a health, fitness and lifestyle questionnaire. It covers contact details, date of birth, mailing address, health conditions, medication, injuries, family medical history, diet, exercise, habits such as alcohol and smoking, work, and weight history. You choose what to answer. You also sign a coaching release by ticking a box and typing your name, and we keep the wording you signed and when. Only you and Dai can see your answers. Dai may add private notes about your coaching.

When you sign up for the 2% Starter Guide or LUX follow-ups: your first name, email, and for LUX your clinic name if you add it, plus a record of the consent wording you ticked and when. LUX follow-up emails go only to people who tick the box. Starter Guide and LUX follow-up subscribers are added to Dai's Beehiiv mailing list.

When you pay: checkout is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email, billing address and phone number where the checkout asks for them, and payment status. Card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.

When you sign in: your email address and login details. Google sign-in shares your account identity, which may include your name and profile image, but not your Google password. Email and password accounts are handled by Lovable Cloud. Profiles can also hold a display name. Private administration tools save enquiry statuses, notes and article edits.

When you browse: page views, device and browser information, approximate location and online identifiers such as cookies, not your name. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages lead to enquiries. Our enquiry events send only the form type, not your name, email or anything you write in a form. Google Analytics can associate visits through its identifiers, so this information is not necessarily anonymous. An ad blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on can block this measurement. The site works the same either way.

YouTube players and thumbnails, Google Fonts and hosted photographs also receive basic connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, when loaded. Some YouTube players load with the page and others load when you press play. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player domain. Hosting and error reporting may process connection information, error details and the page address to operate and secure the site.

Advertising measurement

On this site, the Meta Pixel shares page views, page addresses, browser and device information, IP address and cookie identifiers with Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) so we can measure and improve our ads.

We never add form entries, booking details or email addresses to these events.

The pixel is switched off for visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and when a visitor's region can't be determined.

How your region is checked. Before the pixel loads, your browser asks our hosting provider which country the connection comes from. That answer is used once, on the page, to decide whether to load the pixel. We do not save it.

Where the data is stored. Pixel events go straight from your browser to Meta. We do not copy them into our site records, and nothing in them is linked to an enquiry, booking or payment you make with us. Meta stores and processes the data on its own systems, which include servers in the United States and other countries, under its own privacy policy and retention rules. Meta may combine it with information it already holds, for example if you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram.

What we can see. In Meta's ad tools we see totals and reports, such as how many people visited a page after seeing an ad. We do not see a list of who you are.

How it is deleted. Because the data sits with Meta, we cannot delete it for you. You can see and disconnect activity that sites send to Meta, and clear it from your account, in your Facebook or Instagram settings under "Your activity off Meta technologies". If we stop using the pixel, we will remove it from the site and no new data will be sent.

You can stop it with the button below. Your choice is saved in your browser only (we do not receive it), so it applies to that browser and device and is lost if you clear your browser data. You can also manage ad settings through Meta's privacy policy, or contact us at daimanuel@daimanuel.com.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to quote, deliver and invoice speaking, consulting and coaching work, to take payments and send the emails you signed up for, to run our programmes and team tracker, to keep the site secure, and to understand which pages are useful. We do not sell your information or send enquiry content to advertisers. Google Analytics receives browsing information as described above. You will not be added to a marketing list unless you ask to be.

Who processes it

Lovable Cloud: hosts the site, manages email and password accounts, and stores enquiries, profiles, client questionnaires and releases, team membership, check-ins and private administration records.

Lovable Auth: connects Google sign-in to your site account.

Lovable AI: sends Find your fit requests to the AI provider and returns the suggestion.

OpenAI: processes your Find your fit goals and visitor type to generate the suggestion and draft brief.

Stripe: processes payments for paid sessions and coaching.

Beehiiv: stores mailing list subscribers and sends the 2% Starter Guide and LUX follow-up emails.

Meta Platforms: receives advertising measurement data as described above.

Gmail (Google): sends enquiry details to Dai and sends speaking enquiry and date-request confirmations.

Google Calendar: checks speaking availability and stores requested date holds with the supplied contact and event details.

Google Analytics 4: measures visits and enquiry events.

YouTube (Google): supplies video thumbnails and embedded video players.

Google Fonts: supplies the fonts used on the site.

Lovable: supplies hosted media delivery and error reporting used to operate the site.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where that country's laws apply.

Email consent (CASL)

The 2% Starter Guide and LUX follow-ups are the only email lists on this site, and you join them only by signing up or ticking the box. Enquiry forms do not subscribe you to marketing. We only send marketing email with your express consent. Any marketing email we send identifies MERGE Fitness, includes our contact details and a working unsubscribe link, and we process unsubscribes within 10 business days. Replies to your enquiry and messages about work you have booked are service messages, not a marketing subscription.

Security

Encrypted connections, access limited to Dai and the people who need it to do the work, and admin tools behind a login. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach put you at real risk of significant harm, we would tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

How long we keep it

Our retention policy is to delete enquiries and applications that do not turn into work after 24 months. Ask and we will delete sooner. Mailing list subscribers stay until you unsubscribe. Payment records, client records, contracts and invoices: seven years, to meet tax and record-keeping requirements. These periods are managed by us, not an automatic deletion timer on the site, and include copies in email and calendar records.

Sleep quiz answers are not retained beyond the current page. Unsent Find your fit answers and suggestions are not saved in our site records and disappear from the page when you reload or leave. We request that OpenAI does not store the response through its response-storage setting. That setting does not establish a zero-retention guarantee: Lovable AI and OpenAI may retain service or security logs under their own policies. We cannot confirm a retention period for those provider-held logs. If you send a brief, it follows the enquiry retention policy above.

Client questionnaires, signed releases and coaching notes are client records and are kept for seven years after coaching ends, then deleted. Ask and we will correct them at any time.

Account profiles, team membership and tracker check-ins remain until you ask us to delete them or close your account. The tracker shows recent trends, but this is not a deletion schedule. Analytics, hosting and provider logs follow the providers' configured retention settings and policies.

Your say over it

Email daimanuel@daimanuel.com to get a copy of what we hold, correct it or delete it. Unless the law says we must keep something, we will. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 19, and we delete it if we find we have.

Effective 20 October 2026.
