There’s those days where I just can’t seem to make it to the Crossfit gym to complete the prescribed WOD (workout of the day). Yesterday was one of those days, so I decided to do a quick burner in my garage. The workout consisted of:
- Row 5000 meters on the concept 2 rower for time
- 5 rounds x 3 minute rounds of skipping (with 1 minute rests in between sets)
The workout took me a total of 39 minutes. I was able to maintain a 1:50 500 meter pace on the rower, which was pretty good all things considered. I’m not used to doing long rows but this was a good preliminary to the skipping.
For my timer, I’ve been using the Gym Boss — awesome tool and if you are into doing interval training, boxing or Crossfit timed WOD’s its definitely something worth picking up. You can learn more about the different models at www.gymboss.com
I plan to do this one again tonight, but throw in tabata push-ups and sit-ups between the rowing and skipping. I’ll keep you all posted on how it goes.

Does fiitness Town sell the Gym Boss? I need to get one of those.
