Today was the big man friendly workout.
The workout is scored by adding your total weight lifted for 1 rep maxes for dead lift, standing shoulder press and back squats. The only rules are that you must complete your 1 rep maxes for all the exercises within 40 minutes; and, you’re only allowed 3 failures per exercise then you have to call it quits.
Tonight I attained personal bests on all 3 exercises:
- Dead-lift was 405lbs (up from 365lbs)
- Shoulder press was 165lbs (up from 150lbs)
- Back Squats was 300lbs (up from 255lbs)
- My total score was 870.
I have to say I’m stoked! This is a huge improvement in only 5 months of training with the Coaches at the gym. I have to give it to them, they know how to motivate people.
